The latest innovation in cellular technology has been the SixG wireless network. It is predicted to merge the existing terrestrial, aerial, and marine communications to a single robust mesh network that would be capable of supporting a multitude of devices with high ultra-low data rates. This would enable devices such as laptops, mobile phones, computers, networking equipment, PDA’s, networking accessories, digital signage panels, etc to access the Internet and stream large files, all on the same network. This new mesh network would enable very fast Internet connections with low latency. The primary driving force for this new mesh system is the adoption of the VoIP service by consumers and businesses.
The 6G wireless network will enable the next generation in data transfer rates. Currently, the most commonly used network transport protocol is the GSM Model with a CDMA structure. With the advent of the next generation data transmission technologies, the CDMA/GSM model will not be able to maintain its present competitive position for very long. It is anticipated that by the year 2021, the CDMA/GSM will be surpassed by the 6G technology.
In order to compete with other countries, particularly in the telecommunication field, the United States needs to develop advanced technologies. In this regard, the country is taking a step towards the direction of creating the 6G wireless network that will be an essential component of the American telecommunications system. In the process of developing the 6G wireless network, the U.S. is making a strategic decision to move away from its traditional reliance upon the use of copper wire for communications and instead towards the direction of utilizing the Wi-Fi technology to deliver services.
Currently, there are two technologies being used to power the 6G wireless networks: iDEN and the Esqeather. As far as the iDEN is concerned, it is a chip and it is comparable to the ESD Catcher that is used for the purpose of phone communication. The iDEN will enable the provision of services at much higher speeds than the previous networks. It is assumed that within a year, the 6G networks will achieve the point where they will be able to provide services like voice, data and video. On the other hand, the Esqeather is a device that will be embedded into the phone belonging to the user. When the handset is connected to the telephone via a USB cable, then the device will acquire internet access wirelessly along with the regular data connection.
In the course of the previous decade, the U.S. has made great efforts to transform itself from a highly industrialized country to a medium or low-cost consumer country. However, a major challenge was posed by the country’s dependence upon petroleum. For this reason, there were certain shortcomings in the infrastructure of the U.S. when it came to facilitating internet connections for the common consumers. Nevertheless, the recent breakthroughs enabled the development of the 6G wireless technology and also provided the basis for the development of the new Terahertz technologies. Both of them are considered to be the biggest challenges facing the telecommunications industry since they are ushering in a new era of digital technologies.
In the coming years, the 6G Wireless technology will be available with more features and applications. This would facilitate further innovations and developments in the field of communication. 6G Mobile internet will have a significant impact on the mobility sector. Moreover, the 6G technology will enable devices such as smart phones to access the internet and to perform their daily activities. The major challenge for the next-generation Wireless network will be to provide optimal performance at lower cost and to incorporate new features and applications.
