From Bird’s Eye View – Aerial Photography Series by Alex MacLean
Alex MacLean is a pilot and a photographer who has flown over much of the United states and has documented / Photographed many landscapes. While studying architecture at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design he got introduced to a community planning course which developed his interest in aerial photography .
Soon after graduation he got a pilot license and started capturing pictures through his airplane’s window, to capture the most mesmerizing aerial views ever. He observed the patterns emerging from the most ordinary places and brought order and chaos to limelight in a way that one could only imagine.
Alex has captured photos from airplanes junkyard, to jam packed beaches. In his photos Alex has successfully changed the view point of the items captured from ordinary to something that was unexplored and new.
While going through Alex’s pictures one feels like looking at pictures from a flying Google Street View camera, but in ways where daily objects are turned into extraordinary.
