COORDINATION’s Shanghai office – Black is back.
COORDINATION ASIA is a Berlin and Shanghai based company considered to be the giant of museum planning and exhibition design industry. The company recently changed their shanghai office and it will be the topic of discussion today at slickzine.com
COORDINATION’s new hub has moved in to the previous headquarters of shanghai Glass company at 688 Huangpu road. The building’s interior is currently done in “the European Mansion style” while the old structure is waiting to be renovated again sometime this year. But the ever so talented team of COORDINATION couldn’t wait and hold back their instincts.
They have ended up creating a sleek and chic environment for themselves. A 300 square-meter area has been decorated in classic COORDINATION style, by simply improvising the color. All the existing fixtures have been painted black, In COORDINATION’s signature color. The already existing marble, hardwood, built-in book shelves, hidden storage, unusual ceiling molding and ceiling light fixtures have all been kept intact except for an alteration in the color.
This amalgamation of old fixtures, new furnishings, innovative colors and light scheming resulted in a very artistic and graceful ambience.
COORDINATION’s CEO Tillman Thurman says that even though he misses the old office the new downtown location and the slick vibe of the new location is very enjoyable and he is really proud of how it has turned out to be.
