Low cost housing project is developed by Vietnamese H&P architects, This project is specially designed for flood stricken region which receives extreme temperatures around the year. The design meets the basic requirements of a residential dwellings. The whole building structure is assembled by using minimal components and bamboos model units which are secured by using anchors ties and solid connections. The structure has a capability to float during floods as it has recycled oil container at the bottom of the structure. The concept of using local material such as bamboos, leaves and recycled oil containers, combines the traditional architectural characteristic to define the exterior fabric.

This low cost house unit is just under 2000USD, as the plan is to allow it for mass production and the ability for villagers to build it themselves

Eye Catchy – The Log Chop Bench

Designers David Long & Antoine Morris have made one very unusual Log Chop Bench with a defined unconventional process. they avoided concrete blue prints and took ax, log and minimal sketches to a local professional “Lumberjill” who carved out seats with surgical precision. The rough carved out seats were then cladded with fine hand-sewn upholstery by a motorcycle saddle maker. The output is pretty sexy .

The bench was recently auctioned at the Stellar Living 2011 Contemporary Art & Design Auction for Mercer Union in Toronto, Ontario

The carrier will reduce the volume by about 50% compared to that today because I tried to simplify the design and minimize the amount of paper used with a hook for French fries, a sleeve for a burger, and a hole for soda drink, which causes people to carry it easier, and more materials saving. It is one-handed, convenient, practical, and compact, so your hands can be more free by holding all in one.

A team of artists named as Dihzahyners brightens up Beirut through creative and colorful public art. Their ongoing Project Paint up ! is dedicated to gather up teams that decorate the city step by step. one of the group members tells us about their activity. “We realized that we could add energy and vigor to our city by simply painting certain locations that needed it—and where else to start but with the stairs?”

Working on this agenda team ventures across the city on daily basis and tarnsforms a concrete stair case into a vibrant geometric patterns that gives an energetic feel. This stair case was a full day work and this entusiatic team did it with all the dedicatio.n

Below is the basic design that are planned out before time which results in a complicated patterns that enhances the monochromatic urban landscape.
