Tattoo on Paper by Jean-Luc Moerman
Jean-Luc Moeerman is a Belgian artist practicing a unique way of tattooing celebrities without their permission. Jean uses tattoos to leave people wondering about the reality of those pictures which unitize them in strange way. His varied body of work has these spiral features usually rendered in white and black.
His series Tattoo on Paper features a number of famous portraits extending from Renaissance-era religious paintings to Rolling Stones cover photos, where every solitary subjects body has been tattooed whether its Jesus or Kate Moss. This series, Tattoo on Paper is Jean-Luc Moerman’s way of shouting out loud that there is a unity among all art forms regardless of the era in which they were created.
