Floppy Disk Paintings by Nick Gentry
London based artist Nick Gentry has come with a new concept where you build your art using 3 1⁄2″ floppy disks. Working wonderfully with floppies he has made different portraits that utilize this obsolete yet interesting technology.
Nick Gentry’s work is based on the use of contributed artifacts and materials. He states that through this process “contributors, artists and viewers come closer together”. Nick’s Art is influenced by the consumerism, technology and cyber culture blooming in the society, with a focus on obsolete technology .
